Are you tired of posters that fade after one Perth summer, look pixelated up close, or simply fail to turn heads? Whether you’re promoting a weekend market in Morley, refreshing your café window display, or running a retail campaign across Perth metro, the quality of your poster makes the difference between being noticed and being ignored.
At A2Z Printing in Malaga, we produce high quality posters designed to survive the West Australian climate, represent your brand accurately, and deliver the visual impact your message deserves. This guide covers everything Perth businesses need to know — materials, sizes, finishes, applications, and how to get it right the first time.

Choosing the correct poster substrate is the single most important decision in the printing process. A2Z Printing offers multiple material options to match your specific application and budget.
Synthetic posters are printed on a durable polypropylene substrate that is tear-resistant, waterproof, and significantly more robust than traditional paper. They’re ideal for high-traffic environments like retail stores, gyms, event venues, and outdoor displays in sheltered positions.
Our Standard Synthetic Poster is a cost-effective choice for short-to-medium term campaigns, while the Premium Synthetic Poster delivers enhanced vibrancy and is suited to displays where image quality is critical — think showroom walls, event backdrops, or large-format display installations.
Canvas prints add a premium, tactile dimension to any image. Whether you’re a photographer, interior designer, real estate agent, or hospitality business wanting to elevate a space, canvas delivers a rich, gallery-style finish that no flat poster can replicate.
Our canvas prints are available in custom sizes, making them a versatile choice for everything from café walls to corporate reception areas across Perth.
For short-term promotional use — indoor events, information boards, window displays with frequent rotation — a standard poster is a practical, budget-friendly solution. Contact us to discuss options that suit your display frequency and environment.
One of the most common questions we receive from Perth businesses is: “Can you print the exact size I need?” The answer is almost always yes.
A2Z Printing offers custom poster sizing to suit your exact display space — from compact A3 and A2 formats right through to A1, A0, and beyond for large format applications. Additionally, non-standard dimensions are available for bespoke installations like retail lightboxes, exhibition stands, or architectural displays.
Popular poster sizes for Perth businesses include A1 (594 × 841mm), A0 (841 × 1189mm), and custom large format sizes. For sizes outside standard dimensions, contact us for full specifications and pricing.
If your display needs extend beyond posters, explore our PVC banner range for outdoor and event applications, or our backlit film products for illuminated display environments.
Even the best printing equipment cannot rescue poor artwork preparation. These tips will help ensure your poster prints exactly as intended.
For high quality poster printing, supply artwork at a minimum resolution of 150 DPI at final print size. For close-viewing applications (less than 1 metre), 200–300 DPI is preferable. Artwork supplied at 72 DPI (screen resolution) will appear pixelated when printed large — a very common and entirely avoidable mistake.
All artwork for print should be supplied in CMYK colour mode, not RGB. RGB colours (used for screens) often shift when converted to CMYK for print. Supplying CMYK artwork gives you greater control over the final printed colour. Specifically, ensure you check any vibrant blues and greens, which are the most common colours to shift in conversion.
Always include a 3mm bleed around the edge of your artwork. This ensures no white edges appear after trimming. Additionally, keep all critical content (text, logos, key imagery) at least 5mm inside the trim line — the “safe zone” — to ensure nothing is accidentally cut off during production.

Synthetic poster substrates (standard or premium) are the best choice for most indoor applications. They're tear-resistant, wipeable, and produce vibrant full colour prints. Canvas is ideal when a premium, textured finish is required.
